I am a 36 year old graphic designer and player of Capoeira. Having worked professionally as a freelance graphic designer for about 12 years, I have gained a wide experience of many different design disciplines including print design, web design, art direction, photography and illustration. I graduated from Camberwell College of Arts with BA(hons) in Graphic Design in 1995. As well as having a large commercial portfolio of work, I have also generated an extensive catalogue of creative work over the last 12 years. I have always felt it necessary to continue making personally fulfilling work whilst retaining a means to a living and a place in the 'real' design world. I play Capoeira several times a week with a school based in London, that I have been with for about two and a half years called Capoeira Angola Palmares - London - Axé. It is a worldwide and well-respected Capoeira school with a highly regarded and talented teacher and wide network of dedicated students. For me, Capoeira gives me balance, rhythm and confidence in the other aspects of my life, as well as being a rewarding journey of learning and a way to push my personal physical and mental limits.
