The first 'dry-run' for this project was carried out on 3rd July 2004 in my back yard at home. There were two sets of games/paintings; the first with Magda Slawinksa and Patsy Antoine, the second with Mestre Axé and Antonio Gonçalves. I had the event documented with photography on ground level and from overhead.
The second session was carried out on 12th February 2005 in a railway arch in Brixton, London (kindly donated by Henry Gundry-White). This session was a lot more evolved, in terms of using two video cameras, professional lighting equipment, better materials (canvas and paint), as well as having more crew to make the event go extremely smoothly. The games/paintings were much more fluid than the first session and involved many different Capoeira players. All credits of individuals can be found in 'Community' section of this site.
